Bariatric Transport

Ultra EMS provides bariatric transport for all patient’s weighing between 300lbs to 800lbs, with an 800lb capacity. Bariatric transport can be completed at both the ALS and BLS levels and requires either a lift assist or additional units. It is at the discretion of Ultra EMS to determine if a lift assist or if additional units are required.

In most cases, Ultra EMS will bill the patient’s insurance for the transport(s), but there are additional non-covered charges for bariatric transport. Charges must be collected prior to the transport.

Lift Assist: $250.00 (each way)
Additional Unit: $450.00 (per each additional unit and each way)
